POSER!!!

Now, why did I think it would be smart to see what all the fuss was about, eh? LOL. Damn that was a wrong move. I've seen so much stuff that I want, I'd need to take out a f****ing mortgage!! This isn't good. But then, it is good... as this would allow me to do the art that I really want to do. I love 3d, I've always been fascinated, and now seems to be the time to explore that.

I downloaded the Poser 6 trial, and it seems relatively easy to use. But, I'd need some kind of tuition on how to actually start things going. Basic stuff. Like, what about the Vicky, Victoria, V3, etc... what 'people' do you get with the prog to start with, and do you have to buy these ones that people seem to use all the time with their applications? Oh, and when you buy these things, is it just download..? Most of the sites seem to be in the US, so I'd have a shed load of postage to pay otherwise, lmao.

Anyone wanna help a dunce in need..?

Edit Okay, I think I've now discovered that Vicky, Victoria and V3 are all the same thing..? Free for download from Daz. Everything else I'm still kinda blank about though, lol.

Edit 2 Time scale information. I've not been able to find a suitable male in stock *LMAO - that sounds so funny!!* in dA, and deciding Poser might be a more suitable way of doing things, it's gonna be a while till I get more about Fia and Cael into the world. I want to have a male that's just right, so 3d seems the better option to me right now. I'll need practice galore until I'm competent enough to make renders that are even semi decent.

Add to that that I'm back at work with a bang as of today, after my week holiday. I went back to find someone had been fired, and they're extremely short staffed with holidays, people calling in sick etc, and I'm exhausted after just one day. I'm doing more hours because of this, and that leaves little time for art.

But it will happen!!

Any assistance is more than appreciated.

I'm slowly finding things out, but still have many questions. One that's in my head at the moment, is; when you download things to add to Poser, can you burn them to cd? Purely because I've had comps die on me before, and I dont' really want to lose anything I've paid for.

OH, and are daz3d and Renderosity the only places you shop from..? Any links more than welcome.

Although, I ended up spending hours in Renderosity last night, and bookmarked far too many things. I can see this is gonna kill my bank account, lmao.

I know the feeling! Though, at the moment it's not killing mine.. it's killing my Mom's and my Fiance's. LOL
I haven't tried to burn a backup yet, so I don't know the answer to that one. But I plan to, as my computer has been having issues these past few months.
At the moment, Daz and RO are the only two I really know of. I know Content Paradise is cool, don't have the link on me but I think you can google it. I think CP is Poser's content website.

Heh... been to CP too. LOL. I'm so addicted it's not even funny now.

Out of curiosity, have you ever seen any animal/feline/humanoid characters around anywhere..? I'm doubting it, as I've searched and found nothing, but it's worth asking, right?

Oh, and I hope the comp issues aren't serious ones. My last comp freaked out almost every day from the moment I got it. I hope yours is ok hun.

Uhm... well, something like a cat morphed with a humans body? Say an animals facial features, more cat/leopard/lion/other animal than human, but a mix of animal and human body... LOL, this is hard to explain!!!
